Product Area Strategy Lead, Stena Recycling AB
Are you currently working as a management consultant or as an analyst/business developer in finance, private equity, or similar, and are now ready to work more long-term and drive business development in a rapidly growing industry?
The industry is undergoing a significant transformation where Stena Recycling has the potential to take a central position and play an important role in the green transition by shifting from being a raw material producer to a circular, industrial partner. An important step in the company's commercial initiative is to find our next Product Area Strategy Lead, who will contribute to our continued development and acceleration to ensure long-term growth and optimization of our business.
About the Role
We are looking for a business-focused, analytical, and professional colleague who, with decisiveness and drive, will contribute to the company's transformation. In the role of Product Area Strategy Lead, you will play a central role in driving analyses, strategic initiatives, and business development projects within recycling and circular economy. You will work closely with both management and product area managers and other stakeholders, becoming an important operational force that drives projects and analyses while managing complex business issues. You will also contribute to strategic decisions by producing target group-adapted presentations, decision-making materials, in-depth market analysis, and business cases.
The role includes work within business development, M&A, producer responsibility, and market monitoring, and you will report to the Head of Strategy & M&A. The position is based at the headquarters in Gothenburg but requires some travel, both within the Nordic region and globally.
Background and Experience
For this role, we are looking for someone driven by creating business opportunities and wanting to develop in an industry-leading company with high ambitions in circular economy. To succeed, we see that you have a background as a management consultant, analyst, or similar, possess a very strong analytical ability, and can handle large amounts of information in a structured manner. Your communication skills are evident in how you tailor complex analyses to your audience and explain them in a pedagogical way. You are proactive, take ownership of tasks, and drive both yourself and others to move from planning to execution. You have a collaborative focus, thrive in a role where you work with both internal and external stakeholders, and understand that networking is an important part of the assignment. The right candidate for the role has:
- Relevant academic degree
- 2-6 years of experience from management consulting, investment banking, or a similar environment
- Very strong analytical skills
- Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and scenario analysis
- Experience in creating decision-making materials, strategic presentations, and business cases
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Driver's license (B)
Experience in industrial companies, recycling, or the waste industry, as well as circular business models, is a merit.
