We are now looking for you who want to help secure the future of Stockholm. Mälarhöjdens school is Stockholm's largest primary school F-9 with over 1250 students and about 165 staff. It is located near central Stockholm with good transport links and close to Lake Mälaren. The school has excellent academic results, satisfied students, satisfied staff, and stable finances. Your role

You will be an important part of our student health work with your medical expertise. Our student health team has all functions, and we conduct a development-oriented work together. In our student health meetings, we also work as a team where all professions are important to create the best possible conditions for students' learning, development, and health.

As a school nurse, you are employed directly under the principal, who is responsible for student health work.

Together with the school doctor and in consultation with the school management, you and your school nurse colleague are responsible for organizing the medical interventions of student health in the school.

The medical interventions of student health are carried out in the school according to applicable legislation, the city's Program for student health work, which includes the Management System for student health medical interventions and central School Health regulations and guidelines.

The work involves collaboration with students, parents, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

Stockholm city's school nurses have been documenting since March 2022 in the Prorenata journal system.

Your competence and experience

At Mälarhöjdens school, we believe it is important to show each other trust and to solve challenges together. Collaboration within and between professions is important, so teamwork skills are essential. To succeed in the role of school nurse, you are professional, flexible, and relationship-building.

You also have:

• a respectful and empathetic approach characterized by dialogue and participation in meetings with students and/or guardians.
• good judgment, are meticulous, and have good collaboration skills.
• good computer skills and the ability to be structured to plan operations in the short and long term and the ability to work independently.

Previous experience as a school nurse, public health science competence, and experience are required.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in the Prorenata journal system.

Educational requirements

Licensed nurse with one of the following specialist nurse education programs:

• Specialist nurse program – District nurse 75hp
• Specialist nurse program – Child and youth 60hp
• Specialist nurse program – School nurse 60hp
