Special Education Teacher F–4 at Robinson Valsjön

Robinson Valsjön is a growing F–6 school in the picturesque Åkersberga. The school opened in the autumn of 2022 with preschool class and grade 1, and is growing organically with one new grade at a time. By autumn 2025, we will have students in grades F–4 with approximately 80 students in total. The school building is new and nestled in the area around Valsjön – a place that inspires both learning and well-being.

At Robinson, we work with experience-based and subject-integrated learning. We believe that long-term learning is built on students experiencing, exploring, and being involved. For our younger students, nature is a natural place for teaching, while older students discover society and its functions. Do you want to work in a school where participation, collaboration, and creativity are a natural part of everyday life? Then you might be our new colleague!

About the Role

We are now looking for a special education teacher for grades F–4. You will be an important part of our work to create accessible learning environments and good conditions for all students.

You will be part of a team consisting of a special educator, principal, counselor, and teachers, where you together create strong support around the students. Your role is central in the preventive and promotional work, as well as in concrete support measures at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

It is advantageous if you have worked closely with both teams and student health teams in previous assignments.

You have a holistic perspective on students' development and a good ability to see each child's unique conditions. With an inclusive approach, clear structure, and a solution-focused working method, you contribute to a safe and developing learning environment.

You are responsible, easy to collaborate with, and attentive in your interactions with both students and colleagues. We also see that you are used to planning, prioritizing, and driving work forward – always with the student's best interests in focus and a strong desire to make a difference together with others.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Mapping and analyzing needs in preschool class, conducting screenings in grades 1–3, and supporting national tests in grade 3
  • Planning and implementing support measures, both individually and in groups
  • Being present during regular teaching.
  • Supporting colleagues in their work with adaptations and accessible teaching
  • Participating in student health meetings and collaborating with the school's various professionals
  • Contributing to investigations for special support and evaluations of action programs

As a special education teacher, your tasks are therefore very varied. It is our students' needs that guide. With your specific competence, you contribute to ensuring that support measures are inclusive and lead to increased goal achievement.

Robinson's view of students is characterized by the belief that;
• Children are good
• Children are different
• Children are needs-driven and
• Children want to develop
These guiding principles should form the basis for the decisions made.

The position is planned to start at the beginning of the autumn term in August 2025, but may be filled before the application deadline has passed.

Warm welcome to submit your application!
