School Social Worker for Pajala Municipality

Pajala Municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Pajala Municipality has five municipal schools and one independent school. The municipality has a Central Child and Student Health service that also operates locally in the municipality's schools and at Lapland Gymnasium. We are now looking for a school social worker with a big heart for our students' well-being. The Child and Student Health service is part of the schools' organization responsible for ensuring that students have the best possible learning situation. The work should be based on scientific evidence and/or proven experience and should primarily focus on health promotion and preventive work. As a school social worker, your mission is to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning based on your expertise. The work is conducted in collaboration with the head of student health, school management at the schools, and other student health personnel. The work also involves collaboration with students, guardians, school staff, as well as organizations and authorities outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has another equivalent behavioral science education and has knowledge of social services law and the school's governing documents. The work is independent and requires curiosity and interest, as well as the ability to want to develop the educational activities.
