Job Responsibilities

As a housing supporter/support assistant, you will work in one of our group and service homes or housing support in Nynäshamn municipality. Here, you support individuals with functional variations in their daily lives, always focusing on self-determination, participation, and independence.

Your days may include:

• cooking a really good summer lunch or baking together
• enjoying a coffee break and socializing in the sun
• planning the day together with the residents to create structure and security in daily life, for example, morning routines
• joining excursions and recreational activities such as a walk along the sea or perhaps an ice cream outing at the harbor
• assisting with personal care and nursing
• creating a safe and meaningful existence where the individual's needs are always at the center

You will work days, evenings, weekends, as well as on-call and awake night shifts in certain units.

About the Workplace

The main mission of the Social Administration is to offer individualized support and services within elderly care, disabilities, children and family, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the residents of the municipality through all stages of life.

The Functional Support department provides support to individuals who have been granted assistance under SoL, the Social Services Act, and the Act on Support and Service (LSS) for certain disabilities. We place great importance on meeting the individual with respect and encourage the person's ability to take personal responsibility. We believe in courage, openness, and engagement to create trust and respect – both in meeting our residents and in collaboration with each other. What We Are Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you have:

• a genuine interest in working with people
• basic computer skills
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

• care education with a focus on disabilities
• a B driver's license
