Group Leader for Treatment and Aftercare of Children and Youth at Risk of Norm-Breaking Behavior
Sundbyberg City – Social Services, Unit for Open Care for Children and Youth. Permanent position, full-time
Do you want to lead the development of a new treatment service for children and youth at risk of criminal behavior? Do you have leadership experience and a strong interest in methods? We are now looking for a committed and secure work leader for our new treatment and aftercare group within open care.
About the Assignment
As part of Sundbyberg City's initiative to prevent and counteract the involvement of children and youth in criminal activities, the social services will establish a new treatment and aftercare group. The group will work with qualified interventions for youth with norm-breaking behavior and their families – based on evidence-based methods such as Functional Family Therapy (FFT) and Trauma-Informed Care (TIC).
In the role of work leader, you will hold a key position. You will lead the team in daily work, ensure quality in interventions, and serve as a link between staff, unit manager, and other stakeholders. You will have a special responsibility for ensuring that the implementation of methods is of high quality and that the work is systematized, followed up, and developed. All work is based on a systemic theoretical foundation and takes place in close dialogue with colleagues and staff.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the daily work of the team and coordinate interventions
- Provide methodological support and ensure the quality of treatment interventions
- Contribute to reduced use of external placements
- Participate in the implementation of FFT and TIC
- Collaborate with the unit manager and investigative units to ensure the right intervention for the right youth
- You will be an important part of the development and follow-up work within the unit
Qualifications
- Degree in Social Work or other relevant higher education
- Previous experience in leadership or team responsibility
- Experience in treatment work with children, youth, and families within open care
- You are secure in your role and have a relational and systemic theoretical perspective
Meritorious
- Knowledge of or experience with FFT and TIC
- Working with youth at risk
- Have previously led development work/projects
- Systemic further education is an advantage
