Your Responsibilities

As an inspection engineer, you will be the face of SMP and responsible for contact with new and existing customers in your area. Your responsibilities include:

• Inspection of construction machinery, lifting devices, IBC containers, etc. on-site at the customer.
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers in your area.
• Ensuring that machines and equipment meet applicable safety requirements.

SMP ensures that you have the right tools to succeed. Your initial period will involve an introduction. During the introduction, you will learn about SMP's mission and working methods. You will gain competence in various regulations and inspection programs and accompany a more experienced colleague on various assignments with customers.

The position offers great freedom - you will work from home and plan your workdays with the possibility of flexible hours. To facilitate your work, a company car or benefit car is offered. Some travel with overnight stays may occur.

Your Profile

To be successful in the role of inspection engineer, it is important that you have broad technical knowledge, appreciate customer contacts, are independent, driven, meticulous, and friendly, while also being able to be firm when required. It is also beneficial if you enjoy being outdoors, even though part of the job is administrative and handled from home.

Furthermore, we would like you to have:

• High school engineer, university engineer or equivalent.
• Good knowledge in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and hydraulics.
• Previous inspection experience.
• Good social skills.
• Independent and structured.
• Driver's license B.

Certifications for inspecting construction machinery, lifting devices, IBC containers, etc. are highly meritorious.
