Saltängen's workshop is now looking for an experienced and meticulous manual lathe operator who wants to be part of our competent team. About the position

As a machine operator with us, you will work with your colleagues throughout the entire process. From reading drawings, planning the task, setting up, executing, and final inspection. You will get to work with everything from tight tolerances with high surface requirements in solid materials to rough and fine machining of welded constructions. Our workshop in Norrköping is always ready for urgent repairs as well as planned service stops and contract manufacturing. We are a close-knit team with a high service spirit and good cooperation skills, which means we help and support each other in our work. Our goal is always to solve the customer's problems together.

Your main tasks

Receive and interpret work orders and drawings
Material processing and renovation work
Conduct quality controls and documentation
Participate in weekly management and planning of work
Contribute to development and improvement initiatives

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in machining, with a particular focus on manual lathes. You have previous experience working with manual lathes and a good understanding of the machines' functions. You have knowledge of reading drawings and technical specifications. You work solution-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Experience in CNC programming is an advantage. Good knowledge of Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written, is a requirement. As a person, you are an engaged team player with a good service spirit and cooperation skills. You enjoy challenges and have your own drive and forward-thinking, where you take responsibility for setting up, programming, and completing the task. You should be able to work uncomfortable hours during high workloads or urgent service tasks.
