Signal Designer at Sweco

Sweco is strengthening its traffic control group with a signal designer. This role is suitable for you who are motivated and engaged in working with electrical railway solutions. ABOUT THE POSITION

Sweco has the widest knowledge base in the Nordic region within railways, trams, and subways. We are now looking for a signal designer to strengthen their team in Sundsvall, Östersund, Örnsköldsvik, or Hudiksvall. The group works with services throughout the entire chain from investigation and analysis to design, construction, and maintenance of facilities for rail traffic. As a signal designer, you will primarily work with design and be involved in the preparation of system, construction, and management documents as well as tender documents and investigation materials in the early stages. Additionally, there is an opportunity to work with review and inspection of various signal installations.

You will be part of a network of professional engineers and specialists where knowledge exchange and collaboration between colleagues and offices worldwide is a natural part. WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Automation, or a vocational degree in Railways, or equivalent work experience, such as a signal technician
  • Has a couple of years of work experience in signal technology or similar
  • Has a great technical interest and is curious to learn more about signal technology and railways
  • Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as required in communication with colleagues and clients

It is an advantage if you have experience in design, review, or inspection of railway signal systems.
