Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist with us, you will independently perform individualized assessments and treatments, conduct patient groups such as osteoarthritis school, and give lectures to staff and patients about diagnoses/conditions in the musculoskeletal system. You will also guide patients to actively influence their own health. You will meet patients with various disabilities, diagnostic groups, and rehabilitation needs. The work also includes the testing of aids and quality and development work. You will work both independently and as part of a team with other staff categories at the health center. We work with exciting flow concepts that we would love to tell you more about. In the team, you will work with two other physiotherapists. Improvement work is an important part of daily operations. As a physiotherapist, you also have the opportunity to write referrals for imaging studies and referrals to specialist care.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-operated health centers in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with a civil servant board and Region Västmanland as the owner. We have a common name, Närvården Västmanland, and we work together to provide our patients with the best primary care in the region. Närvården Sala Väsby is responsible for approximately 12,843 registered patients. Our unit includes consultations with doctors, district nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, a psychosocial team with social workers, and maternal and child health care. The operation also includes a branch clinic in Västerfärnebo.

Since 2021, we offer patients the ability to chat with us through a new digital platform to increase our accessibility and thus develop new and exciting working methods.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed physiotherapist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and preferably have several years of experience in primary care. Relevant further education in e.g. McKenzie, OMT, BOA/osteoarthritis school, acupuncture, and massage/trigger points is considered meritorious. You master the Swedish language in both speech and writing and preferably have experience with the Cosmic journal system.

As a person, you are secure and self-aware. You can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and are well aware of goals and quality standards. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results. You work well with others and relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Employment Conditions

The position is a temporary appointment from July 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, full-time, with start date according to agreement.
