PLANNING UNIT
is organized under the Community Building Administration and is responsible for conducting comprehensive planning, traffic planning including public transport and Ekeröleden, establishing detailed plans and area regulations, managing the municipality's geodata platform with assurance of data quality, as well as naming and addressing and offering and developing products and services within the geodata area, and producing strategic documents, driving projects, and handling matters within environmental strategic activities and designed living environments.

Job Description
We are in a development phase – and will grow carefully. With collective engagement, we work at a fast pace - which requires both multitasking and organizational skills.
Do you want to take the lead in developing the municipality's strategic water planning and ensure sustainable water management? We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable employee who will be responsible for driving the municipality's strategic water planning by actively participating in comprehensive planning, producing knowledge bases and guidelines, and providing expert support in the development of detailed plans as well as in the construction and management of the municipality's stormwater and flood facilities. You are a key person in the implementation of planning and development projects where water issues, particularly stormwater and flood management, are in focus.
Furthermore, you will lead the implementation of the measures included in the water authority's action program and lead and be responsible for various water conservation projects, including procurement of consultants and contract follow-up as well as applications for external funding.
In addition, you will represent the municipality in various collaboration forums and have a central role in handling referrals, motions, and presentations in relevant contexts. In your work, you will closely collaborate with the municipality's water utility Roslagsvatten.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Have a relevant university degree
- Several years of experience in similar tasks
- Express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish
We also prefer that you meet the following qualifications:
- Experience working in a politically governed organization or authority
- Experience in stormwater and flood management regarding planning, design, and/or construction of facilities/measures
- Experience working with environmental quality standards/status classification of recipients is an advantage
- Experience with permit applications (water operations, exceptions from biotope protection, etc.) is an advantage
- Experience from work with reviews or revocation of land drainage companies is an advantage
- Good knowledge of LAV, the Environmental Code, and water management is desirable

- You have strategic thinking and the ability to take initiative and drive development. You are not afraid to take responsibility and have a proactive approach to improving processes and working methods.
- You have a systematic working method and ensure that the work is carried out with quality, within deadlines, and follow up on results.
- You are a good communicator who can convey complex information in an understandable way tailored to the target audience. You enjoy collaborating with others and find it easy to build good relationships.
- You are flexible and unpretentious and adapt to changing conditions. You find it fun and stimulating to contribute your expertise at multiple levels within the administration.
