Job Responsibilities

Becoming a specialist in general medicine involves meeting and treating all types of patients from young to old. A challenge that requires both high competence and experience. The work is based on good and long-term relationships with patients, which is valuable and contributes to creating safe and secure care.

The primary care centers of Närvården have a clear educational focus, and as a resident physician in general medicine, you will receive a clear educational plan tailored to your needs. - “In my work, I have clearly scheduled visit, administration, and break times that are respected and facilitate my mission,” says resident physician Alexander.

Ongoing supervision both at the primary care center and during your placement at various clinics provides the support needed for you to feel secure and grow in your role. - “At Närvården Sala Väsby, we want to invest in a good educational environment. We require good collaboration both internally and externally, as well as flexibility. Your job responsibilities will include both planned appointments and urgent care. You will work both independently and as part of a team with other staff categories in the unit, and improvement work is an important part of daily operations.

About the Workplace

The 11 region-operated primary care centers in Västmanland are run as an intrapreneurship with a board and Region Västmanland as the owner. We have a common name, Närvården Västmanland, and we work together to provide our patients with the best primary care in the region. Närvården Sala Väsby is a well-established primary care center with a forward-thinking approach. The center is part of a new healthcare building that also includes Sala local hospital and several other clinics. We are responsible for over 12,900 registered patients, and our unit includes consultations with physicians, district nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, as well as maternal and child health care. You will be one of three resident physicians at the primary care center. There is also an opportunity to work at our branch clinic in Västerfärnebo, which is open a few days a week.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has an approved medical license from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Previous experience in primary care is an advantage. You must be proficient in the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and ideally, you have experience with the Cosmic journal system, as we work in that system.

You should have personal maturity, which means you are stable and secure in your profession and see the person you meet from their perspective with an empathetic feeling. You should be adaptable to new circumstances, as anything can happen in a primary care center. The staff at the primary care center work closely together, and your good ability to collaborate and communicate with others is appreciated. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment Conditions

The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date according to agreement.
