About Us

The Anesthesia Clinic MSE/KSK operates at both Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna (MSE) and Kullbergska Hospital in Katrineholm (KSK). Katrineholm is a beautifully sized city with a wonderful blend of urban and rural vibes. Kullbergska Hospital is located in central Katrineholm. This smaller hospital fosters a strong sense of community where individuals with diverse skills work together in open dialogue.

The KSK operating department consists of three units: surgery, sterile central, and recovery unit, where rotation between units occurs. Our operating department performs scheduled surgeries during the day in orthopedics, surgery, urology, gynecology, dental, and eye surgery.

Your Responsibilities

The sterile central is responsible for the management of sterile goods for Kullbergska Hospital and primary care in the municipalities of Katrineholm, Flen, and Vingåker. Our goal is to always provide high competence, quality, flexibility, and daily service to the surgical operations. In your daily work, you will participate in our systematic quality and improvement work. We supervise students and are responsible for various areas of responsibility. We have high-quality requirements and adhere to the norms and standards that exist for the sterile technical operations. Your main tasks will involve preparing instruments/instrument trays. Instrument handling includes cleaning, purity control, functional checks, instrument care, and sterilization. The work involves handling dishwashers, autoclaves, and the T-Doc data system.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a trained sterile technician and/or nursing assistant with clinical experience, preferably with knowledge of sterile goods management within surgical operations. You have the ability to work both independently and in good collaboration with other staff members in the department. You have a service-oriented approach and enjoy working in an environment with varying pace. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Technical knowledge, familiarity with T-doc, and computer skills are a plus. In addition to your qualifications as a nursing assistant with health and medical care courses 1 and 2 (previously emergency care), you need a certificate of your professional qualification as a nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

Employment Form

Permanent full-time employment with daytime work, Monday to Thursday, and every other Friday. Immediate start or according to agreement.
