We are looking for a talented On Site Service Technician - Level II (7/7) to join our team specializing in Service for our Aftermarket Team in Gallivare, Aitik Mine, Sweden.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Diagnose and complete repairs: Serve as a technical specialist to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to Cummins products at a single customer’s site.
  • Engage customers professionally: Interact with customers courteously and professionally, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
  • Utilize specialized tools: Apply the use of specialized tools and follow documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Coach on maintenance: Provide coaching on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees.
  • Escalate unresolved issues: Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced On-Site Technicians and/or Supervisor.
  • Complete documentation: Accurately complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operation: Keep the work area and tools clean and in proper working order.
  • Adhere to safety policies: Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues or incidents to site management and your supervisor.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Technical proficiency: Enjoy working on diesel engines and related systems using mechanical and electronic tools for troubleshooting and repair. Have a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, and be comfortable using computers and software for investigations and reporting.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Possess a problem-solving mentality and a keen eye for identifying and addressing safety issues.
  • Customer orientation and independence: Be customer-oriented, able to work independently, and self-sufficient, with the ability to set priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills: Have strong communicative skills and be fluent in Swedish and English.

Education/Experience:

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred).
  • Basic level field service work experience.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products.
  • Locally valid driving permit.

The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
