Internal logistics is the hub of production for Thermo Fisher Scientific Uppsala. You will be part of a team with many touchpoints where service, order, and responsibility are key principles. You will work with receiving, registering, and delivering goods, as well as ensuring that materials are in the right place at the right time. The tasks also include inventory management, stocktaking, and unpacking, where accuracy and structure are crucial. In this role, you will have daily contact with both internal and external parties, which requires good communication and collaboration skills. You are offered more than just a professional challenge. This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Thermo Fisher Scientific. The assignment will be full-time during the summer, and to be considered for the role, you must be available to work from June 9 to August 22.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

Material storage and inventory management of productive and non-productive materials
Internal transport and material presentation of productive materials
Restocking productive materials in buffer storage locations connected to manufacturing units
Responsible for ensuring that incoming materials are handled correctly from the moment they arrive until they are presented for production
Forklift driving

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

Are a student and want a meaningful summer job
Have a forklift license and experience driving a class A2 electric pallet truck (this must be clearly stated in your application)
Are available to work from June 9 to August 22
Are very comfortable with both Swedish and English as the work is conducted in both languages

It is an advantage if you

Have experience from work in warehousing and/or logistics
Are studying something related to logistics

And most importantly, personal qualities

As a person, you are quality-conscious, meticulous, and unpretentious. You are proactive in your work approach and enjoy problem-solving. Furthermore, you should have a positive attitude, and since you will be working in a team, it is important that you possess good collaboration skills.
