Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic project manager for a leading company in the energy sector. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional project team focused on driving and facilitating a procurement project. The goal is to enable and implement purchases of needs currently managed within existing service agreements.

The project will begin with a strategic review of how these needs can be contracted for optimal delivery capacity and competition.

New service agreements are planned to be operational from February 1, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate a strategic procurement project within the energy sector.
• Analyze and identify best practices for procurement of services in the distribution area.
• Explore synergies between different geographical contract areas and groupings of needs.
• Manage requirements and preparations for contingency planning and other strategic needs.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and competitive procurements.

Requirements

• Experience leading strategic projects at the corporate management level.
• Documented experience in procurement and purchasing processes.
• Understanding of the operation and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
• Relevant university or college degree.
• Knowledge of distribution networks is a plus.
