The Role of Care Assistant with Us

As a care assistant with us, you motivate and stimulate the elderly based on their individual conditions, needs, and wishes. The tasks can vary from personal care, support during meals, assistance in social activities, certain health care tasks, and collaboration with relatives. Your responsibilities also include being a contact person, planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on care work with the person in need of support and help.

Working as a care assistant in any of our operations is a journey of personal development as much as it is an important and enjoyable job. You can expect joy, challenges, success, setbacks, energy, rest, work outdoors and indoors, evenings and days. You will develop valuable social skills to carry with you in all kinds of encounters throughout life.

You will work according to a schedule that includes days, evenings, and every other weekend.

Your Profile

In your daily work, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You start from everyone's equal value and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the care recipient's needs. Working with people often involves changing conditions and new information; you can quickly adjust your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes.

As a care assistant with us, you work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole. You work effectively under stress, can balance different demands, and maintain calm in difficult situations. You distinguish between the matter and the person and can make well-founded decisions under time pressure. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained care assistant
• holds a B driver's license
• expresses themselves well in Swedish both orally and in writing

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience in the profession as a care assistant

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position with placement according to agreement.

The position is full-time or according to agreement. Within the Department of Care & Social Services, all employees in home care and care homes are employed at a 100% employment rate, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their desired employment rate based on the needs of the operation.

Before an offer of employment, an acceptable extract from the police criminal record must be presented. As of July 1, 2023, care assistant is a protected professional title.
