The hotel has 271 hotel rooms and suites, a restaurant and lobby bar, as well as a conference floor with a capacity for a total of 550 people. The hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers and has a large proportion of international guests.
Our vision is simple; we want everyone who comes into contact with us to feel the same way – “This is where I want to work, this is where I want to stay!”
Wanted: Service Agents – Create memorable guest experiences with us!
Are you a service-oriented and dedicated person who wants to help create unforgettable guest experiences? We are currently looking for part-time and extra staff for the reception at Hotel Birger Jarl, with the possibility of more hours during the summer! This is a perfect opportunity for you who are looking for extra work alongside your studies or other jobs.
Our Philosophy
We value that everyone, regardless of job role and working hours, should have a good balance between work and private life. As an employee with us, you have access to generous wellness benefits, massage and yoga during work hours or alternative wellness hours, as well as the hotel gym. Of course, we have a collective agreement and offer favorable prices on hotel rooms and F&B.
We offer you a chance to develop in your professional role through our internal training academy, and you are included in Hotel Birger Jarl's annual profit-sharing program.
About the Role
As a Service Agent at the reception, you are the hotel's face to the outside world and play a key role in the guests' stay. You are an ambassador for our hospitality and ensure that guests feel welcome, seen, and appreciated throughout their stay. Your focus is on creating personal encounters and exceeding guests' expectations through genuine care and world-class service.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Hospitality and service – you create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our guests
- Reception and guest service – check-in and check-out, concierge inquiries, and upselling
- Administrative tasks – invoicing, cash handling, and booking updates
- Collaboration with other departments to ensure smooth operations and a high level of service
- Proactively working to improve the guest experience and handle feedback
- Ensuring that the hotel's common areas are inviting and pleasant
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has a natural sense of service and guest care and enjoys a role where you can take responsibility and solve problems professionally. You have a positive attitude and are inspired to create a seamless, personal, and warm experience for our guests.

- Enjoy meeting and helping people
- Are responsible, solution-oriented, and like to work in a team
- Can handle stressful situations and convey security and professionalism
- Communicate fluently in spoken and written Swedish and/or English
Knowledge of Visbook or other hotel systems is an advantage but not a requirement.
We Offer
- Part-time position every other weekend as well as extra staff with the possibility of more hours during the summer – perfect for you who are looking for extra work alongside studies or other jobs
- A work environment where we value personal qualities and matching with our culture
- A chance to develop within the hotel and service industry
