Social Services Mission

The mission of the Social Services is to meet people's needs for security. The department aims to ensure that the municipality's residents receive social care in various forms, with a special responsibility to safeguard the needs and interests of vulnerable groups. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a care assistant/certified nursing assistant at Gläntans minority language residence involves assisting the users according to their individual needs in personal care, meal situations, transfers, activities, etc. An important task is to support the healthy aspects of the users. This means providing support and encouraging them to continue doing what they can manage on their own. We place great emphasis on case management and work with the individual's best interests at the center. Our goal is for users to experience dignity and well-being as much as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek those who have studied the health and care program at the upper secondary level. Experience in care work and knowledge of dementia diseases is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you speak Sámi and/or Finnish, Meänkieli.

We value high empathy and strong commitment to the well-being of elderly people and their right to a dignified life. Recognizing the different needs and possibilities of users is a given for you. It is important that you have a professional and respectful approach and the ability to create security and calm even in stressful situations. You have a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment to promote good collaboration. The work requires medical care work as delegated by a nurse. Documentation in the Combine system is also part of the job. We place great importance on personal suitability.
