The Cemetery Administration of the Church of Sweden in Jönköping consists of six cemeteries, several chapels, and one of Sweden's most modern crematoriums. The Cemetery Administration is part of the Jönköping parish, and we work together for a common purpose. The Cemetery Administration consists of three maintenance districts, a workshop, a crematorium, and administration. Our mission includes providing burial plots for all faiths in Jönköping.

About the position

Your work is varied, focusing on machine repairs and service. You enjoy working both in a team and independently. You are service-oriented and meticulous. You thrive in outdoor work in all weather conditions and in a workshop environment. The work can at times be physically demanding.

We expect you to share the values of the Church of Sweden. You feel comfortable in the environment that the cemetery represents and have the ability to meet both colleagues and visitors with respect and understanding.

Qualifications

We want you to:

• have a workshop mechanic education or equivalent.
• have documented knowledge in electronics, hydraulics, and welding.
• have a B driver's license. A BE driver's license is an advantage.
• preferably have experience in machine/vehicle procurement.

About the employment

About the parish

The Church of Sweden in Jönköping, Växjö diocese, embodies the fundamental mission of the parish in a dynamic context that grows by nearly 2000 inhabitants each year. The parish operates in a municipality that is planning for 200,000 inhabitants in the long term. A development curve that affects and changes the conditions for residents, businesses, associations, and Christian congregations like ours. The Jönköping parish works based on ten churches, organized into three geographical parish areas. The parish operates three preschools, family counseling, conversation reception, and diaconal reception. We are present in hospitals, universities, and correctional facilities. The parish is also seeking new creative ways to be present in the residential area Strandängen. The burial services operate in four areas of activity. The growing city is also reflected in this part of the parish's work.
