We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, cultural school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. JOB DESCRIPTION

The cultural school is an operation aimed at children and young people aged 6-19 years. In the operation, children and young people have the opportunity to discover and practice various artistic expressions based on a broad definition of culture. The operation is based on voluntary participation and is centered around the perspectives of children and young people. Participants are offered the opportunity to develop their creative abilities and experience cultural activities through the Cultural School's activities. Creativity, diversity, and artistic quality characterize the operations.

The mission of the Instrument Rental is primarily to mediate and rent instruments to participants in the cultural school. The Instrument Rental also rents instruments to preschools, schools, homes, and associations that want to rent instruments to conduct music education or play in groups. Today, the Instrument Rental rents out about 3,200 instruments per term. The staff purchases and manages the instruments, which includes exchanges for larger instrument sizes, repairs, administration, advice, and procurement of accessories and consumables.

We are now looking for an instrument technician for wind and/or string instruments.

As an instrument technician with us, you will perform everything from regular instrument maintenance to adjustments, repairs, and renovations of damaged instruments. For both brass and woodwind instruments, the work includes, among other things, tuning, leak tests, valve grinding, dents, soldering, gluing, adjustments, and complete renovations. For string instruments, the work involves ongoing instrument maintenance, adjustments, repairs, and renovations of damaged instruments.

The job also includes receiving customers and some administrative work such as inventory, sorting, and database management. At the Instrument Rental, you will be a colleague with other instrument technicians who possess deep expertise, have extensive experience, and constantly want to learn more and develop.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• Completed upper secondary education
• Experience in repairing string and/or wind instruments
• Ability to play several string and/or wind instruments

For the position, it is advantageous if you:

• have a journeyman's certificate, master's certificate, or similar relevant to the position
• have a B driver's license
• have knowledge and experience in repairing other instruments, such as guitar and bass, amplifiers, digital pianos, and various types of percussion
