We are thrilled that you are looking for a meaningful job! At Midskogen Care and Nursing Home, we are seeking a new colleague for our short-term care unit - a place where we make a difference every day.

The facility is located at Gymnasievägen 6-8 in Luleå and has a total of 9 departments, of which 6 have regular care and nursing places. The other 3 departments have care places for individuals with special care needs. The short-term care unit offers temporary accommodation for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Here, residents receive support with rehabilitation and recovery, while we also relieve family members. The unit has 10 short-term places and functions as an assessment unit where we plan future care.

The working hours are varied and suitable for those who enjoy shift work, with shifts distributed over days, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule. The start date for the position is negotiable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an assistant nurse/care assistant with us, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team with a nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and unit manager. Together, you will assess the residents' needs and abilities to plan their continued care. Here, we work person-centered and focus on preserving and restoring abilities through daily rehabilitation.

Performing work with quality is important to us. With the resident in focus and support from our shared values, we actively work to develop well-planned and flexible solutions tailored to each individual's needs, supported by PPP (Practical Professional Planning). You will work with personal care, mobilization and transfers, social support in daily activities, medication management while helping residents maintain their independence. Documentation is an important part of the job, and you will be responsible for documenting in Combine according to the Social Services Act.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest and commitment to working with people, who thrives in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Additionally, you have:

  • Assistant nurse education and/or relevant experience
  • Experience in documentation
  • Good digital skills
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Approved grades in Swedish equivalent to at least grade 9

We would prefer if you have experience in short-term care, elderly care for the seriously ill, dementia care, and daily rehabilitation. It is also advantageous if you have experience with medication delegation, insulin, as well as handling stoma, feeding tubes, and flushing of catheters.
