Resource Teacher/Student Assistant for Year 1 Student

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a resource teacher/student assistant for a student in year 1. As a student assistant, you will support the student during lessons, breaks, and after-school activities based on the student's needs. You will contribute to a safe and meaningful school day by providing the support the student needs to follow the teaching and in social situations. The goal is to increase the individual's independence.

Your responsibilities as a student assistant will include:

• Supporting the student in their social interactions with other children.
• Participating in teaching and activities to create an inclusive and positive environment for the student.
• Collaborating with educators to develop and implement tailored methods and strategies.
• Communicating with guardians about the student's needs and progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an engaged person who wants to contribute to children's and young people's learning and development. You should be able to work both in a team and independently. Previous experience as a student assistant is a requirement, and we prefer that you have an education as a childcare worker or social pedagogue. References from previous work are also necessary, as well as good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Personal suitability for the assignment will be given great importance during recruitment.

• Education in social pedagogy, psychology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with children with special needs in grades 1-6.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both children and adults.
• Empathy and patience in working with children with special needs.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
