ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Data Scientist, you will work on the development, maintenance, validation, and further development of our models for risk scoring and regulatory valuation. Within the team, we believe that a diversity of ideas and collaboration enhances the quality of the final solution, which requires team members to reason and communicate different solution proposals both in advance and during the work process. In addition to further developing the team's working methods, you will also collaborate with the bank's business areas and risk department to create a final product that is both sound in theory and practical in application.

The role of Data Scientist is relatively broad and includes everything from data analysis and validation, design and implementation of models to validating and documenting the final product. Therefore, there is an opportunity to both develop in areas you have worked less with and to shape the role to focus more on the parts that interest you the most at times.

You will become part of our Data Science team at the headquarters in Gothenburg, where we work together towards common goals and where new ideas are always welcome. We work broadly across the bank's various divisions, providing a varied and exciting work environment, where we contribute to innovation by demonstrating the potential of a data-driven and scientific approach. In addition to meeting the needs of other operations regarding models for scoring and forecasts, there is also a stated ambition to contribute to the bank's development by driving initiatives started by the Data Science team.

The position is a permanent employment, starting by agreement. We place great importance on personal suitability and may therefore adjust the role's seniority based on the applicants we receive.

ABOUT YOU You who are applying have an academic background in a quantitative subject at the master's level with a focus on mathematical statistics or probability theory. You have an interest in machine learning and problem-solving applied to finance and are comfortable translating statistical data into insights and models.

We would like you to:

• have a good understanding of data and experience in statistical modeling (some years of experience in the business world and applications in finance are meritorious),

• have experience in programming to translate data and theory into practice (experience with Python is meritorious),

• have the ability to translate real-world problems and business questions into statistical terms,

• appreciate collaboration, discussion around solutions, and have good communication skills,

• enjoy driving your own work forward in a responsible manner,

• strive to share your expertise and are driven by learning new things.
