Lillsved Gymnastics and Sports Folk High School is looking for qualified teachers in the following areas:

• Mathematics at the high school level
• Swedish at the high school level
• Social studies at the high school level
• Behavioral science/psychology/leadership/communication
• Teacher and course leader for the Higher Education Ski Instructor course

Who are we looking for?

You are a person driven by ideas within civil society and association activities, motivated to work with participants at a folk high school.

You have the ability to build trust with participants and colleagues. You are confident in your subject knowledge and in your interactions with participants, as we work thematically and interdisciplinary.

You also have a good understanding of the mission of folk education and experience in various forms of social pedagogical work.

You have the appropriate teaching qualifications and/or a folk high school degree or other relevant experience in education.

You are qualified to teach mathematics and Swedish or social studies, with an interest in sports and outdoor activities.

You have qualifications in the field of behavioral science/psychology/leadership/communication. The subjects are directed towards the various goals of the courses, generally related to sports leadership, instruction, change work, coaching, and sports psychology.

You hold a Swedish Ski Instructor degree and have relevant teaching experience. Academic education and experience in skiing are advantageous. You will teach ski-related subjects such as ski technique and mechanics, pedagogy, methodology, leadership, service/tourism, ski maintenance, etc.

Working in folk education offers a stimulating and free work environment. The course content is planned and implemented in close dialogue with students and other teachers, and we prefer to work thematically. Lillsved Gymnastics and Sports Folk High School combines folk high school and conference activities as well as a hostel. Our profile permeates all our activities.

The folk high school has about 100 participants during the academic year, all of whom study and have a strong interest in health-related subjects and future career fields. 70 of these live in the school's boarding house.

The conference activities account for a significant part of the operations with various guest groups throughout the year. We have 100 rooms and about 10 conference rooms.

At Lillsved, old meets new. In the Manor House, with its oldest parts dating back to the mid-1800s, there are conference/teaching facilities and social areas.

As a teacher, you have excellent conditions to teach our participants.

Beautiful nature invites outdoor life, relaxation, and training. In sports and health-related subjects, Lillsved has sports halls, a gym, a mirror room, a spinning room, a massage room, exercise trails, tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, and a grass football field.

We are currently in a development phase where we are focusing on becoming a facility adapted for sports for people with disabilities.

Lillsved is located on a peninsula of northern Värmdölandet. It is a varied archipelago landscape that surrounds the location with bays, groves, and open fields, only 1 hour by bus from Slussen in Stockholm.
