We are now looking for a team-oriented dentist who wants to make a difference

At Folktandvården Kungshamn, you will meet patients with various care needs and of all ages. You will also be involved in taking care of the clinic's emergency patients. Therefore, you will utilize your entire skill set while the position also requires creativity, empathy, and a sense of service.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

We are a great team working in a state-of-the-art clinic in fresh premises. The clinic is located in Hälsans Hus, where we share space with Närhälsan, Rehabilitation Clinic, Midwife, and Youth Clinic. The building also houses a pharmacy. Kungshamn is the main town in Sotenäs municipality, which consists of many small communities such as Smögen, Hunnebostrand, and Bohus-Malmön. We serve an important community function for the residents of the municipality. Our mission is to provide close and good care with high service.

Your role includes:

• Working both independently and together with your colleagues in the treatment room
• Working with both simpler examinations and more advanced treatments, as well as some emergency dental care
• Being the team's specialist in oral diagnostics

Qualifications and Profile

• Licensed dentist
• Interest in both pediatric and adult dentistry
• Knowledge of the Swedish language equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 in both spoken and written form
• Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and wisely
• Ability to give a stable and calm impression even when there is a lot to do
• Ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner

We welcome applications from those who are about to graduate or are newly graduated, as our clinic offers good variety in general dentistry and provides you with a stable foundation.

If you are new to the profession, you will receive an individually tailored mentoring program during your first year. The mentoring program is part of our three-year development program with up to 18 days of professional development.

About the Recruitment Process

If you are not already employed with us, you will be contacted by a recruiter from the HR unit for an interview. After the application period ends, the clinic manager will select candidates and invite them for an interview at the clinic.

If you have an education/degree from another EU/EEA country than Sweden and lack references, it may be necessary to provide supplementary theoretical and clinical work samples as part of the recruitment process. Folktandvården Västra Götalandsregionen conducts checks in suspicion and criminal records before employment.
