About us

The adapted primary school is a school in constant development. The adapted primary school currently has just over 50 students, and we continue to grow.

We are now looking for a teacher qualified in the craft subject. We work collegially with the educators' declarations and a professional development initiative focusing on language and values as well as learning for sustainable development.

You have an important mission as part of our practical-aesthetic teacher group and as an employee at Ekebo. What characterizes the employees at Ekebo is that we have a strong value base where we believe in our students' success and development.

About the position

The students will come to you for their instruction in wood and metal as well as textile crafts. To assist in the teaching, there are the class's student assistants and childcare workers. As a teacher in the craft subjects, you are ultimately responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the instruction at both group and individual levels based on the students' needs and conditions.

Together with your colleagues in the teaching staff, you will drive and develop the work so that it benefits all students. You will establish clear goals and plan teaching systematically, organized, and methodically. You will ensure that the work is completed, follow up on results, and see documentation and assessment of the students' knowledge development as a natural part of your work.

80 percent of the position will be performed in the adapted primary school and in its premises. The remaining 20 percent will be held in Runby school’s premises and teaching for Sjumilaskolan (resource school).

Probationary employment may be applied.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who:

• Are a qualified craft teacher
• Have worked in adapted primary school or autism activities

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previous experience and competence in IF, NPF, and low-arousal approaches as well as TBA
• Experience in handling various forms of digital tools in your work
• Experience in managing action programs, action plans, and the National Agency for Education's assessments
