Häggvik-Skälbyskolan is now looking for a certified teacher in the subjects of mathematics and science, technology for grades 7-9. Häggvik-Skälbyskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 570 students. The school has two parts; Skälby grades K-3 located on Skälbyvägen in a newly built schoolhouse with about 220 students and Häggvik grades 4-9, approximately 330 students, located in a classic school building on Sollentunavägen that we share with Sollentuna Music Classes.

We are now looking for a certified teacher in mathematics, science subjects, and technology for grades 7-9 with a particularly good ability to improve students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. You will be part of the 7-9 work team and be a mentor together with a teaching colleague for a class in grade 7.

Through your teaching, you create conditions for all students to succeed, and you use digital tools to enhance learning and create opportunities for further development. You systematically involve students in the evaluation of teaching to create participation in students' influence. You are part of a work team with trained teachers and special educators where collaboration is of utmost importance. The work team is an important part of your workday, both for collegial learning and for jointly developing structures and conditions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is confident and clear in their leadership and has an easy time building good relationships. You enjoy working in teams, and collaboration is of great importance. You are confident in your teaching, and digital tools are an important part of your teaching. Otherwise, you can have a positive attitude and want to learn more to enhance your digital competence in your teaching. Your teaching is also nuanced and reflective and is based on structure and accessible learning.

You have great trust in students' learning, their competence, and find it easy to communicate with guardians regarding both support measures and knowledge development. Having experience in the teaching profession and good knowledge of Swedish is a prerequisite. We expect you to be a responsible person who is good at collaborating. You enjoy inspiring others and are happy to take your own initiatives. You are goal-oriented and always put our students' needs first. You have a good ability to adapt your teaching so that it reaches all your students.

We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach mathematics and biology as well as at least one of the subjects chemistry, physics, and technology for grades 7-9. You should have good knowledge in your subjects and demonstrate a dynamic working method to create and attract learning. We are looking for someone who is convinced that everyone can develop and that your teaching makes a difference.

We have a well-developed science institution, and the workspace for the upper secondary mathematics/science teachers is located near the science classrooms. The teachers in mathematics and science for grades 7-9 at Häggvik School and Sollentuna Music Classes share a workspace and collaborate around the science institution.
