The Elderly Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for the authority's exercise regarding elderly care and social psychiatry according to the Social Services Act, as well as interventions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The sector is also responsible for the execution of all elderly care, municipal health care, rehabilitation, memory teams, and support for relatives.

Job Responsibilities

As a pool employee, you cover for the absence of regular staff. The work involves all tasks within care and nursing. A pool employment means that you do not have a fixed workplace, but you will be booked for shifts where needed. You will meet the individual needs of care and service for the customer, based on granted assistance according to the Social Services Act. You will also perform health and medical tasks upon delegation from a nurse, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist. The work includes documentation according to applicable legislation, which means you must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the care and nursing program or is a nursing assistant with experience in the profession. We highly value qualities such as good communication, enjoying meeting different people, having a positive view of humanity, liking to work both independently and in teams, being flexible, and having good initiative. It should be a matter of course to take responsibility for the operations; your tasks and teamwork are an important part of your work.

We see that you are a person who takes initiative and sees what needs to be done. You feel comfortable changing workplaces and meeting new people every day. You are a person who will contribute to the workgroup you are placed in for the day. You should be flexible and comfortable working in all of our units. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a requirement. You should be accustomed to documenting.

A valid B driver's license for automatic or manual transmission is required.

Conditions

You will work on a fixed schedule, and the working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, both weekdays and every other weekend. Your assignments will be booked in advance by the Staffing Unit. We apply Appendix D, special regulations for employment in the staff pool. Salary supplements are provided to employees in the staff pool. The positions are permanent employment with a degree of employment by agreement. Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
