Sverkerskolan is a F-9 school located in the heart of Luthagen. The lower grades are housed in two beautiful school buildings from the early 1900s. The school has expanded to higher grades in nearby renovated facilities. Sverkerskolan has long been a stimulating and developing environment for students and staff. The school has a long tradition of pedagogical development and innovation. The staff consists of many different specialist functions that contribute to a diversity of skills and perspectives.

Working at Sverkerskolan is rarely boring - this is where it happens. The after-school program is well integrated into the school, and the collaboration between the after-school program and the school is very good. At the after-school program, there are many qualified leisure teachers, and in addition to after-school activities, there are good opportunities to teach subjects you are qualified in during the school day.

Your mission

As a leisure teacher at Sverkerskolan, you will be part of a developing and creative working community with other teachers who share a strong commitment to the students' entire day. The after-school programs are organized by grade but collaborate closely regarding the outdoor environment and activities. There is a solid collaboration to offer well-thought-out activities that elevate students in relation to the skills they should be given the opportunity to develop in the after-school program. We particularly value holiday activities, where we see great opportunities to make a difference in our compensatory mission. As a qualified leisure teacher, you are responsible for helping to drive pedagogical development forward together with other staff members. You should also be interested in teaching subjects you are qualified in or having a special educational role in your grade.

Your background

We are looking for someone with ongoing or completed teacher education with qualifications for the after-school program. If you have qualifications to teach any of the school's subjects, it is considered an advantage. We prefer candidates with experience working in after-school programs. The work requires good oral and written skills in the Swedish language.

As a person, you are pedagogical and have an understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge. You are flexible and can see opportunities in changes. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
