The Department of Information Technology holds a leading position in both research and education at all levels. We are currently Uppsala University's third largest department with over 350 employees, including 120 teachers and 120 doctoral students. Approximately 5000 undergraduate students take one or more courses at the department each year. Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include organizing local workshops, preparing and hosting research visits, updating the project website, and assisting with research project work.

Qualifications

To be employed as an assistant, it is required that you are admitted to an undergraduate or graduate program. The applicant should have an education in technology or natural sciences at the university level or another subject that the employer finds relevant for the position, demonstrate good academic results, and have good communication skills in English, both spoken and written. Personal qualities and suitability will be emphasized in the selection of candidates for the position.

Desirable/meritorious

A degree in a subject mentioned above. Previous experience in project work, interest in the future of artificial intelligence, and international experience are particularly meritorious as our project collaborates with European and African universities. Experience with relevant IT systems (Wordpress) is also meritorious.

About the Employment

The employment is temporary according to HF 5 chap § 12, for 12 months. The scope is 20%. Start date is 2025-05-01. Location: Uppsala.
