Having the opportunity to meet people from all over the world in our work is both interesting and rewarding. We are now looking for a coordinator who wants to help develop Social Services for Children and Youth.

Social Services for Children and Youth consists of two child units, three youth units, a foster care unit, and an internal support unit. In the area of children and youth, we care for and support each other, and we also value our differences and varying backgrounds. Developing the organization and finding new ways of working is something we find both fun and important.

The area is led by an area manager and seven unit managers who are responsible for personnel, work environment, and budget. As the area is new since the turn of the year, you will be involved in developing the role to cover the entire area of children, youth, and foster care.

Your role as a coordinator

As a coordinator, you will primarily be responsible for the area's introduction of new employees, monitor training, and provide the area's basic and continuing education for social workers. The development of social workers mostly occurs in groups. Coordinators and group leaders have a close and collaborative relationship, which gives us the opportunity to support social workers in a safe way as they enter the profession. You will be involved in the development work in the area, drive processes, and be responsible for method development. You will not handle your own cases.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work.
  • At least four years of experience and familiarity with work in child and youth authority.
  • Training in and experience of working with support from BBIC.
  • Good knowledge and experience of working in Stockholm City's operational system Paraplyet.
  • Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is meritorious to have:

  • Experience of similar work such as mentor, method developer, or equivalent in social services.
  • Knowledge and experience of Signs of Safety.
  • Knowledge and experience of SAVRY/EARL.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading groups.

You are used to preparing presentations and feel comfortable leading discussions in front of a group.
