Group Manager for Inflow Water and Operational Investigations
Do you believe that water and environmental issues are an important part of everyday life and are driven to develop both people and technology? VA SYD is looking for a group manager who wants to lead and develop our work with inflow water, operational investigations, and ensure that our open stormwater facilities fulfill their function while taking on our common challenge to achieve our goals.
This is what the job is about
As a group manager within coordination and investigation, you will:
- Have full personnel responsibility, leading, coaching, and developing 11 employees working with operational investigations, inflow water, and open stormwater facilities.
- Have budget responsibility, including budget, forecasts, and outcomes both internally and towards contracted entrepreneurs.
- Participate in collaboration groups within VA SYD to ensure that the group's issues are included.
- Support the workgroup with prioritizations as needed.
- Have workplace safety responsibility for daily operations.
- Continuously work on improvements in all areas included in the role.
This is a varied job that also requires you to have contacts both internally and externally. Coordination and investigation are part of the Distribution department, which consists of five units managing drinking water, stormwater, and sewage within VA SYD's operational area. The work is based at our workplace on Agnesfridsvägen in Malmö.

Who are you?

The group is currently self-sufficient and has broad competence and needs a trust-based leadership that we see you can contribute to. The role requires a good economic understanding and a structured approach to work.
Your experiences
We prefer that you have:
- A completed university degree, such as an engineer in road and water, landscape engineer, or another relevant field.
- Experience leading others, such as a supervisor, team leader, or previous experience as a manager.
- Good economic understanding, preferably with previous experience in budget and forecasting work.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Understanding of the challenges associated with technical projects within VA is an advantage.
