A job with meaningful tasks

Krokom Municipality in Jämtland offers fantastic quality of life with beautiful nature and a growing community. Here, in the heart of the Jämtland countryside, we at Blomstergården have a strong focus on providing our elderly residents with safe and respectful care, and we are now looking for nursing assistants who want to help develop our operations. Whether you are new to the profession, experienced, or seeking a new challenge, we offer a workplace where you can make a difference – every day.

Welcome to us!

Blomstergården is a special accommodation facility in central Krokom with 28 places for elderly people with physical, mental, and cognitive disabilities. We are in the midst of an exciting development phase, with ongoing renovations of older parts of the accommodation and the opening of new departments for cognitive impairment and short-term care in the autumn of 2025. Therefore, we are now looking for nursing assistants for both day, evening, and night shifts who want to help shape the new workgroups. With us, you will have the chance to grow both as a professional and as a person.

A day as a Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant at Blomstergården, you will work to provide our residents with support and care based on their individual needs and implementation plans. You will help create a meaningful everyday life for the elderly by giving them participation and influence. We value a workplace where all colleagues support each other.

You will participate in the development of the operations and the work with our core values. Here, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the change work as we build our new departments.

This includes being responsible for:

  • Documentation and follow-up of implementation plans
  • Collaboration with nurses, rehabilitation, and unit managers
  • Participation in workplace meetings and operational days
  • Providing support and care to residents with various physical and cognitive disabilities

Your Competence

To thrive and succeed in the role of nursing assistant at Blomstergården, we see that you have the following qualifications:

Requirements for the positions are that you:

  • must have completed an approved nursing assistant education.
  • master the Swedish language at a level that allows you to communicate clearly with both residents, colleagues, and other professionals, as well as document care interventions correctly.

We consider it an advantage if you:

  • have experience working with elderly people, preferably in care and nursing, and are accustomed to providing support and care based on individual needs and implementation plans.
  • have previously worked with individuals who have cognitive impairment or dementia. Experience working with individuals with specific cognitive needs will enable you to meet our residents in a professional and empathetic manner. If you have worked with short-term care or rehabilitation, we see it as a plus.
  • have experience using IT systems in healthcare, as we use digital aids.

As a person, you have a genuine desire to help others and show care for the elderly residents. You treat each individual with respect, dignity, and understanding, regardless of disability. If you are applying for short-term care, it is important that you are interested in a rehabilitative approach.

Working with people who have cognitive impairment requires you to handle sometimes stressful or emotional situations with calm and professionalism. You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to create a safe and stable environment for our residents. Furthermore, you are engaged in your work and have the ability to take your own initiatives to improve care and the work environment. You want to be part of the development at Blomstergården and contribute to creating the best possible conditions for both residents and colleagues.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
