Lecturer in Children's Rights at the Department of Law

The Department of Law has been commissioned by the government to conduct training initiatives in the field of human rights for employees within the state, municipalities, and regions (the Human Rights assignment).

In connection with this assignment, the department has also been tasked with conducting training initiatives in children's rights. To primarily conduct training in children's rights and assist in administering the Human Rights assignment, a lecturer is sought.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching primarily in children's rights within the Human Rights assignment (commissioned education) as well as coordinating and conducting training within the Human Rights assignment. The position includes administrative tasks related to the implementation of the Human Rights assignment.

Qualifications

Law degree. Documented experience working with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and children's rights. Administrative skills through the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively and appropriately for the purpose, as well as the ability to set and adhere to deadlines. Work within the Human Rights assignment will be conducted in collaboration with another coordinator of the Human Rights assignment, thus emphasis will be placed on the ability to collaborate. Ability to teach in Swedish is a requirement.

Desirable/meritorious qualifications

Documented experience working with international law and public law is meritorious for the position. Research experience, previous teaching experience, work with teaching in teams, and current knowledge in the relevant subject areas for the position are meritorious. Experience in coordinating commissioned education is meritorious.

About the Position

The position is temporary, lasting 10 months. The extent is 100%. Start date: as soon as possible or by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
