We are looking for

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license and completed specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry or a psychiatrist with good knowledge of Swedish, spoken and written, corresponding to level C1. You also have a strong interest in our specialty and want to influence the future development of the specialty within the region.

As a senior physician, you should have:

• several years of well-documented clinical experience (at least 4 years) as a specialist physician with broad and extensive knowledge in the specialty and/or relevant subspecialty required for work in the section

• documented teaching and supervision merits (including approved ST supervisor training)

• competence to be an independent on-call physician, which also means being medically responsible during on-call hours

Having a doctorate with active research in a relevant subject area is an advantage.

Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities.

• Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where you completed your basic education. This applies even if you were educated in another EU country or outside the EU
• License certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Specialist certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Any certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Docent, as well as the date of disputation and title of the dissertation
• Fully updated publication list, if applicable
• Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and any other pedagogical merits
• Any additional documented merits regarding clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, leadership experience, and anything else you want to highlight as meritorious for the position applied for

Serving as a senior physician means increased responsibility compared to serving as a specialist physician.

A senior physician:

• must have medical knowledge and competence to be independently medically responsible for a certain area and participate in the overall responsibility for their specialty as well as part of the overall responsibility for the clinic's total operations. This includes working to align relevant staff towards set goals

• is expected to contribute to the development of evidence-based care and be prepared to supervise students and colleagues in all clinical situations

• is expected to demonstrate good leadership qualities and be able to take responsibility for operational development and lead projects and improvement work

Only time worked as a specialist physician is not sufficient to qualify as a senior physician.

We are looking for a senior physician for a full-time position with the possibility of permanent employment. Start date according to agreement. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
