Gysinge Herrgård has attracted visitors for centuries. Visitors come to experience the Manor and the incredibly beautiful environment by the Dalälven River. We operate hotel, café, and restaurant services. With our 65 hotel rooms, conference facilities, restaurant, and café set in stunning natural surroundings, we offer our guests an extraordinary experience. In January 2022, this historic Manor came under the ownership of Jula Hotels. We are now fully engaged in developing the business and need to complement our team with a Chef and a Sous Chef.

This is what you will do as a team member in our kitchen

At Gysinge Herrgård, we focus heavily on locally sourced ingredients based on the season, where we together as a team create unique experiences for our guests. In both roles, you will be involved in creating proposals, being creative, and working with the details that bring together the manor and nature on a plate. Our ambition is to work as much as possible with local producers for both food and drink, while also nurturing the creativity present in the kitchen. We strongly believe in our product, packaged together with the nature around us, a good night's sleep, and heartfelt hospitality. We are a small team and we value that you thrive in a humble environment with high ceilings and a constant desire to develop and improve. The job also includes tasks such as ordering, inventory, and constantly ensuring the quality of our product. As a Sous Chef, you will have daily responsibility when the head chef is not present. Here too, we believe in a humble leadership to achieve the best results.

This is you as a person, your background and experiences as a chef

We are looking for someone who loves to cook and especially innovative dishes based on the season and ingredients, all to surprise guests with a taste experience. We want you to have previous experience and education relevant to the position, preferably with work experience in hotels, conference facilities, or restaurants. You are committed, meticulous, a good colleague, and enjoy working with others. To thrive, we believe you are used to working in a varied environment where challenges are seen as opportunities and have a good ability to prioritize your work. You react quickly to changing conditions and have a knack for coming up with ideas on how to handle new challenges. Structure and pride in delivering good quality in your work are natural for you.

This is you as a person as a Sous Chef

As a person, you are positive, responsible, and highly engaged. You have previous experience and education relevant to the position. Furthermore, you have your own drive to perform your tasks in a structured and efficient manner while enjoying working in a fast-paced environment. You have an eye for both the big picture and details, like order and cleanliness, and enjoy working with people from different cultures. As a leader, you are an important cultural bearer and role model and are motivated by developing others. You have significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence and develop the role and working methods. Furthermore, you have a good ability to prioritize and delegate work. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Good to know

The positions are permanent full-time employment with a probationary period. The work is varied, including daytime, evenings, and weekends as agreed. A car and driver's license are a must as Gysinge Herrgård is located in the countryside. Salary and start date according to agreement. Gysinge Herrgård has a collective agreement with Unionen and HRF.
