Drottning Blanka's Upper Secondary School Gothenburg Karlastaden offers vocational and university preparatory education within the Social Science Program, the Economic Program, and the Craft Program - Hairdressing.

Your Mission

Starting in the autumn of 2025, our school will expand and move to new, modern premises in Karlastaden. We are looking for an engaged and passionate librarian at 20%. Are you passionate about inspiring young people to read, think critically, and develop digital skills? Do you want to be part of a school where the library plays a central pedagogical role? We are looking for an engaged librarian who wants to develop and strengthen the school library as a vibrant learning environment at DBGY Karlastaden.

As a librarian with us, you have an important role in promoting students' language development as well as their media and information literacy (MIL). The library is an integrated part of the school's pedagogical work and a central resource to help students achieve their knowledge goals.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in library and information science or other relevant education
• Has experience working in libraries, preferably within schools or education
• Is pedagogical and has a strong interest in working with youth
• Has good digital skills and can work with library systems and digital resources
• Is communicative, proactive, and enjoys collaborating with students and school staff

The position is a permanent part-time position at 20%, with an initial probationary period of 6 months provided you meet the requirements of the Education Act. Start date is in August 2025.
