On ward B15, pediatric surgery, we have 14 beds for children and adolescents aged 0-18 years with diagnoses in hand and plastic surgery, urology, pediatric surgery, orthopedics, spinal surgery, ear, nose and throat surgery, and vascular malformations.

The care consists mainly of elective surgery with a focus on pre- and postoperative nursing but also acute operations with admissions around the clock.

We work in teams and continuously drive improvement work. As a nurse with us, you will have your own areas of responsibility and be part of teams for different diagnoses/development areas.

We also work with mentorship on the ward, and you will have continuous check-ins with your mentor and the unit manager during the onboarding period. Job Description

We work with patient-centered care, and as a nurse, you lead and are responsible for the patient and their individual needs. We also collaborate with other care units within H.K.H Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital, for example, the pediatric emergency department/BAVA, BOND, and outpatient care.

Work Group

On ward B151 pediatric surgery, we work in teams, nurses and pediatric nurses. The team around the patient also includes doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, play therapists, social workers, and we have a close collaboration with the pediatric pain unit. On the same floor, there is also access to play therapy, school, and hospital clowns.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse. Further education in pediatric and adolescent care is an advantage but not a requirement. You have the opportunity for paid specialist training with us.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You are interested in working with children and their families. As a person, you are attentive, flexible, and have good communication and collaboration skills. You have the ability to work independently and can prioritize your work effectively. We want you to contribute with a positive and professional attitude in your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your employment will be at H.K.H Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital with primary placement in ward B151, Pediatric Surgery. We have a points model and a schedule according to the “wish schedule model” and work with the scheduling tool Tessa.
