JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a nurse for the short-term unit in Lövgärdet. The work includes dialogue and collaboration with several stakeholders where cooperation and problem-solving are a significant part. As a nurse at Lövgärdet's short-term unit, you will be responsible for leading the nursing work and, together with other staff, making a comprehensive assessment of the patient's needs for health care, rehabilitation, and care.

The short-term unit started in April 2022 and is part of Lövgärdet's care and nursing home. At the short-term unit, you will be one of four nurses working together in a close team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and pharmacists.

The short-term units in Gothenburg City support patients when they need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to cope with daily life, thus enabling them to stay at home. The patient flow for admissions and discharges within the short-term units is high, and patients typically stay for around 14 days. The short-term units also care for patients waiting for another accommodation. As a nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the care of the patients you are responsible for. You will work with individuals who need everything from basic medical interventions to more advanced health care. We work based on a person-centered approach, which means we put the individual’s needs at the center and work as a team close to the patient and their relatives. You will work independently and have great freedom to plan your work while collaborating with your colleagues in a cross-professional team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We prefer that you have experience working as a nurse, but we also welcome you if you are newly graduated.

The position includes both independent work and teamwork. As a nurse, you have a patient-centered approach and are confident both as a person and in your profession. An important part of your mission is the meeting with the patient and their relatives. A good response is therefore essential; you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. Furthermore, you take responsibility for your tasks and are keen to complete them with high quality.
