Skaraborg Hospital is looking for a Nursing Assistant for the Children's Department

Skaraborg Hospital (SkaS) operates in several locations in Skaraborg, including Falköping, Lidköping, Mariestad, and Skövde. "The little hospital within the hospital"

In the department, we care for children and young patients up to 18 years old.

Here, a dedicated team of approximately 40 employees works, consisting of pediatric nurses, nurses, child care assistants, nursing assistants, pediatricians, and doctors in training. The work is characterized by collaboration, and we work closely with resources such as play therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and dietitians.

The Children's Department has 14 inpatient beds and 6 short-term care places where inpatient and emergency care is provided around the clock.

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you primarily work in direct patient care and are a natural contact for both relatives and parents. You may have the opportunity to work from a broad perspective within pediatric care, where you can expand your skills and face new challenges based on the department's focus and breadth. In inpatient care, we work day, evening, night, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant.

It is highly meritorious if you are a trained specialist nursing assistant with a focus on children and youth, or a nursing assistant with experience in pediatric care.

You have:

• strong ability to collaborate with both colleagues and patients and their families.
• ability to work flexibly based on our different patient groups and can handle rapidly emerging situations when there is a lot happening in the unit.
• a genuine interest in pediatric care and a desire to work for the development of the organization, the group, and your personal growth.

Working with children requires creativity and patience to build trust with the patient and their guardians. The approach is crucial in all situations. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability from a child perspective.

All 3 positions are temporary vacancies for 6 months. You will receive a tailored orientation based on your experience and skills.
