SiS LVM Home Hornö receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We accept men with mental health issues and men with aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.

Job Description

The role of a cook involves ensuring that the institution's clients receive lunch and dinner prepared five days a week, as well as preparing meals for the weekend. Approximately 100 portions are prepared daily, divided into two meals. In the kitchen work, you will, together with your colleague, not only cook the daily meals but also place orders for goods, plan the menu, clean, wash dishes, pack goods, and deliver items to the departments.

Your tasks also include self-control in accordance with applicable legislation and following the state framework agreements when placing orders. You should see opportunities and think positively, as well as have good collaboration skills with other professional groups in the workplace. Working hours are daytime Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in food and cooking, who has worked in the profession for a few years. It is advantageous if you are a trained cook with current HACCP training and have experience in preparing and planning special diets. Experience working with people in socially vulnerable situations is also a plus. Familiarity with database-based purchasing systems is an advantage. As a person, you should be self-reliant and flexible, have good collaboration skills, and be economically aware. It is also important that you are clear, structured, and service-oriented. A B driver's license is a requirement.

Temporary summer position from 2025-06-16 to 2025-08-17 and hourly substitute during spring and autumn.
