JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT and Digitalization Department is looking for a passionate IT Architect with a focus on Business Intelligence (BI) to join our Business Intelligence team. Do you have a burning interest in collecting large datasets? Transforming them into relevant and quality-assured data sources? Then you will find that challenge with us. In this role, you will be a crucial part of ensuring that Växjö Municipality bases its decisions on the right information and contributes to tomorrow's smart city.

As an IT Architect focusing on Business Intelligence (BI), you will:

• develop BI architecture that supports reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics
• transform data into an analyzable format (ETL/ELT) to create business value
• develop and maintain infrastructure for data collection, processing, and sharing
• optimize, test, and implement tools to improve data quality
• manage data integrations and modeling
• provide APIs for standardized data sharing and access
• translate business needs into technical solutions
• ensure compliance with security and delivery standards as well as legal standards
• support and coach in data-driven development
• document and share knowledge about the data area with colleagues
• apply practices in CI/CD and maintain cost-effective solutions
• identify requirements for reporting and analysis together with the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

We prefer that you have a background as a system developer, data engineer, or IT architect in the field with a focus on database development, integration, and information flows. You have the ability to take responsibility for both the development and management of central products/solutions while collaborating with your colleagues and those we deliver to.

We prefer that you have a relevant university education and 2-3 years of work experience in Data Engineering. You are accustomed to working with, and have very good knowledge of, MS SQL Server, T-SQL, Data Warehouse, and ETL/ELT. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of Microsoft Fabrics.

As a person, you are attentive and have a high ability to collaborate. You are solution-oriented and delivery-focused. You speak and write fluently in Swedish.
