Our colleague will be on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a temporary pediatric dietitian to join our wonderful dietitian team, eager to be part of a curious and forward-thinking dietitian group with an open atmosphere. Welcome to grow with us!

You will work on developing and designing nutrition routines, conducting nutritional assessments, patient consultations, collaborating with and educating healthcare staff, being an important part of the teams in each department/clinic, and participating in rounds.

You will have your office at the dietitian unit alongside the hospital's 10 dietitians. You will closely collaborate with all dietitians in the region, both in primary and specialized care. There is always someone available to discuss with, both within and outside your treatment/diagnosis area.

About us

Primary care and specialized care dietitians in Sörmland are organized in a dietitian organization that belongs to the regional clinic of paramedicine Sörmland. Paramedicine consists of 300 employees, of which approximately 45 are dietitians. We work on the principle that "quality comes before quantity." This means we strive to provide patients with the best possible care and nutrition treatment rather than just producing many patient contacts.

The primary care unit and the specialized care units each have their own dietitian manager who collaborates closely, making us a strong dietitian organization. This allows for opportunities to change your role over time.

Your responsibilities

You will be based at the dietitian unit, where you will work alongside other dietitian colleagues. You will collaborate with the pediatric clinic at Nyköping Hospital, where there are several teams with doctors, nurses, dietitians, and social workers, who meet regularly 1-4 times a month.

There are lectures for healthcare staff. Contact with the patient and their family occurs through appointment visits, sometimes co-booked with other healthcare providers, via video and phone contact.

Based on the child's diagnosis, nutritional value calculations, energy needs assessments, carbohydrate counting, weight and height measurements, and dietary history will be conducted. Prescriptions for dietary supplements are made through the prescription portal Mediq.

You will be part of Region Sörmland's network for pediatric dietitians, which meets regularly and collaborates on routines and materials. There are good opportunities to support each other and raise questions from a pediatric dietitian perspective. We are also part of larger networks in Central Sweden with annual meetings.

Your qualifications

You are a licensed dietitian.

This position is suitable for you if you enjoy varied tasks and can keep track of many things at once. Your contribution is important for good and patient-safe care, which is why we want you to be a careful and structured person. You have an easy time collaborating, which is important as you will work in teams, but you are also comfortable working independently and taking your own initiatives. You can plan and organize your work effectively.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Our work is based on evidence-based guidelines and ethical codes. We use motivational interviewing as a method in Region Sörmland.

Employment form

Temporary employment with a start date to be agreed upon. The degree of employment can be discussed.
