At Willhem, we are now making an investment in our properties and establishing a new role as an Operations Technician. About the position

As part of the Mälardalen team, you will be welcomed by a great group of colleagues with various roles in property management. You will work closely with the assistant property managers and caretakers, reporting to the area manager. In energy optimization matters, you will also have a partner in the responsible operations engineer at the head office. You will be responsible for ensuring stable and cost-effective operations of primarily our district heating plants, heat pump systems, ventilation units, and solar power systems, and you will be an important link to our suppliers. As an Operations Technician at Willhem, you will have great opportunities to improve and elevate the level of our property portfolio from an operational perspective. Willhem Mälardalen has offices in Västerås and Eskilstuna, and you will split your time between the locations.

Examples of tasks

o Monitoring operations and rounds, remotely via the BMS portal and physically on-site.

o Performing functional checks and planned maintenance.

o Proposing and implementing optimization measures.

o Measuring and adjusting flows and temperatures.

o Handling alarms and fault reports through troubleshooting and performing corrective actions.

o Communication with suppliers and tenants.

o Ordering minor work and following up.

o Following up and commenting on deviations in energy and water consumption.

o Participating in the work with authority inspections.

o Responsible for projects within operations.

Your profile

To enter the role successfully, we believe you have several years of practical experience in the HVAC or property industry and have a basic understanding of the building's energy balance and technical systems. You understand both flow diagrams and drawings and have good computer skills. You may currently work as an operations technician or have a background as a plumbing or ventilation technician, control technician, or electrician and want to develop and work in a varied and broader role. Vocational training in operations, energy, and property technology is an advantage but not a requirement. Since the work is primarily performed in our properties, you must have a B driver's license.

As a person, you enjoy being outdoors and working practically, are solution-oriented with a high sense of service, and have the ability to plan and prioritize your workday. You are a true problem solver, confident in yourself, and have the ability to instill trust.
