This area includes several functions and roles such as production engineering and tool design for a wide range of production capabilities within detail manufacturing, assembly, final assembly all the way to the delivery of aircraft. The area also includes its own planning, project management, transfer, and Opex functions that work broadly with improvement work, future methods, technology plans, etc. The business currently employs about 250 people and leads and develops the industrialization of Gripen and future air systems.

Your Responsibilities

As a Production Engineer in the area of Industrialisation, you can look forward to varied workdays where you, together with a knowledgeable team, work to sharpen our production. You will either work in a development/industrialization project or work on improvement work for ongoing production. In your role, you will be responsible for developing production engineering solutions for both details and machines (sheet metal, pipe, welding, and AM items as well as NC-controlled manufacturing equipment in turning and milling) for aircraft in both new and ongoing projects. You will actively work at the interface between design and production. With us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference!   • Developing and implementing innovative solutions to improve production flows
  • Preparation and work instructions for production data for both new and existing products
  • Training and supporting operators and technicians in the use and maintenance of production equipment

Your Profile

This is an exciting opportunity for you coming from the manufacturing industry who wants to step into a more production engineering role. Furthermore, you should have good insight and experience in production and production processes. We prefer that you have a technical education as a foundation or relevant work experience in areas such as NC machining, welding, or 3D. Good language skills in Swedish and English as well as good computer skills are a requirement. It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of CAD and IFS.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
