The Gothenburg primary school administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operation - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Björkåsskolan is a K-6 school in Järnbrott, Västra Frölunda, with just over 300 students. We are part of the South-West 2 school area, which includes Björkåsskolan and Flatåsskolan.

Björkåsskolan is a newly built school characterized by a positive climate and good camaraderie where we care for each other. Here you will have the chance to meet students from all corners of the world. We want to contribute to a democratic community where all students are involved and where differences are seen as an asset.

The school is organized into grade-level teams where we gather around the student's entire day. Working together is important to us, and everyone's skills and interests allow us to meet the students in the best way. We are now looking for a craft teacher who is interested in working both individually and collaboratively with teachers and after-school staff. You will teach in our newly built facilities designed for craft education with modern equipment.

You will participate in the common processes and contribute to the school's development together with your colleagues according to the curriculum's and the school's goals. Here with us, you have great opportunities to influence teaching and your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and is qualified to teach grades 3-6 in crafts, both textile and wood. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a multicultural environment. Good Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement for the position. You have the will and ability to build relationships with both colleagues and students as well as their guardians.
