We are now looking for a summer substitute and part-time employee at Blomstervägen group home who wants to work during the day, evenings, and/or awake nights. We offer training and a developing job where you can make a difference! The position is a general fixed-term employment. About Blomstervägen group home Blomstervägen group home is located a bit outside Kallhäll Center, with bus connections available. Our residents belong to person group 1, so it is desirable that you have experience with autism and intellectual disabilities. If you do not have experience, it is important that you are willing to learn. We work with individual support and it is positive if you can use sign language or are willing to learn this. We operate according to our pedagogical framework where low-arousal responses are an important part. We are a workgroup that is very sensitive to individual needs and collectively create a personal pedagogy that we all follow; we believe that you want to work according to this approach.
About the role In the role of support staff, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards making the day meaningful and rich in content. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the job is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. Working hours are scheduled during the day, evenings, weekends, and sleeping on-call shifts.
You will have a group leader or group manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a future career opportunity for you.
Your experience and knowledge You who are applying have a high school education in health and care or another equivalent education. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, good computer skills, and experience with documentation. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. Otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.
You have a positive outlook, a strong commitment to people, and are responsible. You enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues and always have our users' best interests at heart in everything you do.
