The area of Preparedness and Sector Responsibility provides strategic and tactical support for the Swedish Social Insurance Agency in continuity and preparedness. The responsibility includes coordinating, managing, and following up on the agency's ability to withstand disruptions, handle serious peacetime crisis situations, and carry out its tasks during heightened preparedness.
Business development, preparedness, and continuity The Swedish Social Insurance Agency's operations are vital to society, and a disruption in operations can lead to serious consequences or a crisis for society. In light of this, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency has a special responsibility for good continuity management and crisis management capability. Within Security, the coordination for the preparedness sector Economic Security is also included, where the Swedish Social Insurance Agency is the sector-responsible authority. This means that we have an extended responsibility to strengthen coordination between several authorities before and during peacetime crises, heightened preparedness, and war.
The position primarily focuses on the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's continuity and preparedness work. In your role, you will work with coordination, planning, and development of the agency's preparedness-enhancing measures. This may involve planning and driving preparedness-enhancing measures within organizational and operational development, conducting and coordinating follow-ups and analyses, developing guidelines, and supporting the organization in matters concerning continuity and preparedness. Documentation and follow-up are important parts of the position to ensure that guidelines and routines are current and anchored.
You will collaborate and represent the area internally, but also externally with other authorities and organizations. This means that you need to have the ability to view issues from a holistic perspective and understand how they relate to each other. You use experience and knowledge to create understanding of the operational area's responsibilities and goals. You are also accustomed to making necessary priorities based on the needs of the operations. You are engaged and keep yourself updated in the area through environmental monitoring and want to contribute to the collective work within the agency.

We are looking for someone who
- has a university degree or experiences and qualifications that can be deemed equivalent
- has several years of work experience in the security field, where you have worked with business development or security issues at a strategic or operational level
- has experience working in preparedness such as crisis, continuity, or civil defense, from a larger organization, preferably a government agency
- has very good knowledge of change and development processes
- has good knowledge of project management and various forms of collaboration
- acts on your own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
- has the ability to create a useful network
- can understand and analyze complex issues
- brings innovative ideas and solutions that promote development
- collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
- has good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you
- have experience in information security, security protection, and security management systems
- have good knowledge of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's organization and management processes
- have good experience in business development from administrative authorities
- have experience presenting to management groups at a strategic level
- have other formal education such as internal training or courses in security, continuity, or preparedness
- have experience in coordination, conducting follow-ups, and operational analyses
- have experience coordinating and conducting exercises or workshops.
