About the Position
In VO Healthcare Administration, which started on April 1, 2024, we gather all the hospital's healthcare administrative resources under Stab Production. Our organization consists of approximately 600 medical secretaries, administrators, and executive assistants.
Karolinska University Hospital's thematic organization is based on medical units that follow the patient's journey through care. The Acute and Reparative Medicine theme (ARM) is one of six themes, where ME Acute is included. We are located in both Solna and Huddinge.
This position is a permanent employment with placement in the healthcare administration ME Acute, starting as soon as possible.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Writing medical records in Take Care, primarily outpatient care
- Staffing the cash register at the emergency department, handling invoices, the emergency register, and other tasks based on the needs of the organization
- Phone contact both internally and externally as well as patient and relative contact
- Referral management, printing letters and certificates
- DRG registration and procedure classification
As a medical secretary in the Emergency Department in Huddinge, you will work 2 shifts with weekend duty, 1 weekend out of 3.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Medical secretary education and several years of experience in the profession
- Very good knowledge and experience of the Take Care medical record system
- Experience/ability to work with out-of-region billing
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology as well as English in writing
Meritorious:
- Education or experience in DRG
